LONDON \u2014 There was joy across the Oyo diaspora this weekend as members of the Oyo Descendants Union UK and Ireland gathered to honour a king, a husband, and a father whose reign continues to unite people at home and abroad.<\/p>\n
Under the leadership of Patron Alhaji Hamzat Olayiwola Adesanu Adejare and Coordinator Prince Adegbonyega Okobiya Oladigbolu, the Union sent royal felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Iku Baba Yeyee Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, The Alaafin of Oyo Kingdom, on three remarkable milestones: his historic 1st year on his father\u2019s throne, his birthday celebration, and his 20th year marriage anniversary.<\/p>\n
